Live workshop on making & working of Robots |
A workshop on Making & Working of Robots was held at SGI on 30th October, 2010. The workshop was conducted by ERDC, SGI. The workshop was basically to create awareness about the upcoming technological areas of Robotics & Automation. Automation is one step beyond mechanization. Mechanization provides human operators with machinery to assist them with muscular requirement of work; automation decreases the need for human sensory and mental requirements as well. Automation plays an increasingly important role in the world economy and had a notable impact in a wide range of highly visible industries beyond manufacturing. The training session was of 2 hours.
